Gospel and Trauma

Back in the fall of 2015, our pastor applied and was accepted into a doctor of ministry program.  He is currently in the dissertation writing stage of his doctoral journey.  The working title for his doctoral work is called "Deep as the Sea: A Lutheran Devotional that Brings Gospel Following Trauma"  The goal of the project is to write a Lutheran devotional with and for those who have suffered emotional trauma.

This project comes from a very deep and personal place.  It comes not only from personal experiences, but also from more than a decade of experience doing ministry in Queens, NY.  Starting in October of 2019 and continuing through November 2019, he will give a gospel word to trauma from different Scriptures.  Following the sermon, trauma "insiders" will give input on the sermons to further shape and form the devotional.  We pray that this project will be a gospel, Christ-centered blessing to many.
